Convocations

The 3rd Convocation of Dhaka International University (DIU) was held on 10 December 2015 at PSC Convention Hall, Mirpur- 14, Dhaka 1206. As Nominated by the Chancellor, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, Minister of Education presided over the ceremony.

A total of 2048 graduates were conferred bachelor and master’s degrees in seven disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Sociology, English and Pharmacy . Professeor Dr. Syed Anwar Hossain was present as the Convocation speaker. The venue was adorned with festive mood.

The 4th Convocation of Dhaka International University (DIU) was held on 30 November 2016 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (Bangladesh China Friendship Centre), Dhaka. As Nominated by the Chancellor, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, Minister of Education presided over the ceremony.

A total of 1854 graduates were conferred bachelor and master’s degrees in seven disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Sociology, English and Pharmacy. Professeor Anisuzzaman was present as the Convocation speaker. The venue was adorned with festive mood.

The 5th Convocation of Dhaka International University (DIU) was held on 21 December 2017 at Krishibid Institute Bangladesh, Dhaka 1205. As Nominated by the Chancellor, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, Minister of Education presided over the ceremony.

A total of 1611 graduates were conferred bachelor and master’s degrees in seven disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Sociology, English and Pharmacy. Dr. Akbar Ali Khan was present as the Convocation speaker. The venue was adorned with festive mood.

The 6th Convocation of Dhaka International University (DIU) was held on 7 April 2019 at PSC Convention Hall, Mirpur- 14, Dhaka Bangladesh. As Nominated by the Chancellor, Mr. Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel MP, Deputy minister of Education presided over the ceremony.

A total of 1657 graduates were conferred bachelor and master’s degrees in seven disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Sociology, English and Pharmacy. Prof. Dr. Syed Monjurul Islam was present as the Convocation speaker. The venue was adorned with festive mood.

The 7th Convocation of Dhaka International University (DIU) was held on 6 April 2022 at PSC Convention Hall, Mirpur- 14, Dhaka Bangladesh. As Nominated by Tha honorable Chancellor of the University and Honorable President, People's Republic of Bangladesh, Dr. Dipu Moni MP, Minister of Education, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, presided over the ceremony.

A total of 5462 graduates were conferred bachelor's and master’s degrees in seven disciplines including Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Sociology, English, and Pharmacy. Prof. Abdul Mannan, Former Chairman of UGC was present as the Convocation speaker. The venue was adorned with festive mood.

The 8th Convocation of Dhaka International University (DIU) was held on 28th January 2025 at PSC Convention Hall, Mirpur- 14, Dhaka Bangladesh. As Nominated by The honorable Chancellor of the University and Honorable President, People's Republic of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. M Aminul Islam, Minister of Education, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, presided over the ceremony.
