IT Team-DIU built the DIU CMS app as a Free app. This SERVICE is provided by IT Team-DIU at no cost and is intended for use as is.

1. Wi-Fi Configuration and Auto-Enrollment

• Access Type: Wi-Fi State, Network Configuration, Nearby Devices, and Location.
• Purpose: To automatically configure and connect your device to the secure DIU Campus Wi-Fi network.
• Usage: The app uses your login credentials to securely generate a digital certificate directly on your device. This certificate allows you to connect to the campus network automatically. Your credentials and generated certificates are encrypted and stored safely on your local device.
• Permissions Note: On certain Android versions, the operating system requires "Location" or "Nearby Devices" permissions for apps to add or manage Wi-Fi networks. We use these permissions strictly to configure the Wi-Fi profile. We do not track, collect, or store your physical location data as part of this feature.

2. Location Information

• Access Type: Foreground and Background Location.
• Purpose: The app uses location data for specific location-based features, such as attendance tracking, workflow validation, or background services that rely on proximity.
• Usage: Location data is processed on your device and securely sent to our servers only when required for the features mentioned above.
• We do not share or sell location data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Camera Access

The app uses the device camera only to scan QR codes and display related data. The camera is not used for any other purpose, and images are not captured or uploaded without your explicit consent.

4. Storage and Media Access

The app may request access to your device's storage and media files. This is solely to allow you to download academic documents and upload necessary files (such as profile pictures, forms, or assignments) to the portal. We only access the specific files you choose to upload.

5. Log Data

Whenever you use our Service and an error occurs, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, time and date of use, and other diagnostic statistics.
