The faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy are highly qualified, energetic, young and friendly with the students and university authority is also trying their best to increase the existing facility of the students.
Students are engaged in various academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our students also participate in the seminar organized by the different private & public universities in our country regularly.Our graduates are successfully working in reputed national & multinational pharmaceutical companies and organizations likes Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Opsonin Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceuticals Bangladesh, Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Nestle Bangladesh Limited etc.
After completing the graduation our graduate would be able to-

- apply basic IT skills and the knowledge of current technologies to fulfil their professional requirements and serve the community.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
- PEO-1: Impart scientific knowledge for the identification, formulation, preparation, standardization, quality control and uses of drugs and medicines and effective management of their distribution & sale.
- PEO-2: Manage the affairs of hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries, community pharmacy services, drug quality control organizations, marketing, sales & administration.
- PEO-3: Conduct research on indigenous medicinal plants and traditional medicine, and development of drugs from them.
- PEO-4: Internalize and apply multifarious generic skills in the professional life and engage themselves in community development.

FACULTY OF PHARMACY
Vision: Our vision is to create leaders of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Mission: The mission is to build up professional experts on drugs to meet the demands of the age in the field of pharmacy.
Objectives: T- To impart scientific knowledge for the identification, formulation, preparation, standardization, quality control and uses of drugs and medicines and effective management of their distribution & sale. - To produce skilled manpower to manage the affairs of hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries, community pharmacy services, drug quality control organizations, drug research, marketing, sales & administration. - To encourage research on indigenous medicinal plants and traditional medicine, and development of drugs from them.
Admission Requirement:
i) Candidate must be the permanent citizen of Bangladesh. Foreign candidate can apply only against seats dedicated for them by the Government.
ii) Candidate must have a minimum aggregate GPA 8.00 in SSC/ "O" level or equivalent and HSC/ "A" level or equivalent examinations (in a total scale of 10). However, in no exam it would be below 3.5 (in a scale of 5) and in both exam candidate must obtain minimum GPA 4.0 (in a scale of 5) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology separately.
iii) Candidate failed in Mathematics / having no Mathematics at the HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalents will be allowed to be admitted, but they need to take an extra 3 (three) credits course on Mathematics relevant to B. Pharm. curriculum.
iv) The time to time evaluation would be done based on GPA system fixed by Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.
v) In HSC/ recognized equivalent examination (except “A” level) the candidate must obtain minimum GPA 4.0 (in a scale of 5) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and minimum GPA 3.5 (in a scale of 5) separately. In case of “A” level the candidate must obtain minimum “B” grade in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and minimum “C” grade in Mathematics.
vi) The candidate must complete the admission process within the time period between the passing year and the just next year for HSC/ equivalents exam. For example : The candidate interested to admit in B.Pharm course in January session, 2023 must pass the HSC/ equivalent examination in 2021/2022.
vii) Foreign students must complete 12 education years and must get equivalent certificate from Bangladesh Pharmacy Council against specific fee.
viii) Admission must be done based on competitive written test evaluations. In addition to written test, an oral test may be taken for further assessment.
ix) In order to get enlisted in online list of Bangladesh Pharmacy Council the student in 1st year 1st semester/ 1st academic year must apply with pre-registration fee through the University. The student must apply within 03 months of admission in the University.
