The Center for Modern Languages (CML), Dhaka International University is an academic and professional platform dedicated to promoting quality language education, multilingual competence, language research, and professional development. The Center offers and coordinates language courses, certificate and diploma programmes, professional training, curriculum development, language assessment, and research in English and other modern languages, including Chinese, Japanese, French, Korean, and German etc. It also supports language education and GED courses like Bengali and other courses across different academic programmes of the University, contributing to students’ academic achievement, communication competence, and global engagement.

With an emphasis on innovative, technology-enhanced, and learner-centred language education, CML integrates contemporary approaches, digital resources, and context-responsive teaching strategies into its programmes. The Center also provides opportunities for faculty development, material development, collaborative research, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities related to language teaching and learning. As a specialized academic center of DIU, CML seeks to contribute to the University's commitment to prepare competent and globally responsive graduates by establishing a dynamic environment for language learning, research-informed practices, and professional preparation.
